Apple's Time Capsules have had a hard time with reliability and some people continue to complain that for paying a premium price you should get a better product. Many people claimed that either the drive failed or the machine wouldn't even power on. Hard drive failures are becoming common with people because of the fact either their drives are faulty or they weren't kept in a secure area.

Apple today said that a number of Time Capsules sold from Feburary 2008 to June 2008 had a problem of either failing to power on or shutting down randomly. This problem is said to be huge with many people on the Apple site forums. Time Capsules with serial numbers between XX807XXXXXX and XX814XXXXXX may be affected and are eligible for a free repair. Apple also claims that if you had paid to fix this issue with these models in the past, you will get a refund.
